GETTING ACQUAINTED
During your first visit to Northside Orthodontics it will give us a chance to get acquainted and discuss any concerns you may have with regard to your orthodontic concerns. Our dedicated team will ensure every possible step is taken to make you feel relaxed and at ease.

YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY
A full medical and dental history will be taken during the first stage of your visit. Certain medical conditions and medications can affect / complicate treatment; therefore, it is imperative that we have an accurate account of your health.

YOUR FACE, JAWS & TEETH
We will look at your face, jaws and teeth and discuss your dental condition with you. We will then outline all of the different treatment options available to you.

GETTING RECORDS TAKEN
If a course of treatment is indicated, we will then give you the choice of either scheduling a “records appointment” and organise for special orthodontic x-rays to be taken or get the orthodontic records taken at the first visit for your convenience. Your records appointment includes photos of your face and teeth, soft tissue analysis and impressions for study models of your teeth. These records are necessary for an accurate diagnosis and to make a definitive a treatment plan for you.

YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT
The next time we see you, your dental condition is discussed and a treatment plan is developed in accordance with your individual needs. The exact cost and an estimate of treatment time are also discussed with you. If you are happy with this appointments are made to commence active treatment.
